Exercise is arguably the single best intervention to prevent and manage diabetes and pre-diabetes. In head to head comparison with the drugs, exercise is superior at preventing diabetes in people at high risk for diabetes. While not a “cure”, many of our clients have been able to lower medication doses and in some cases, come off drugs. Not to mention the “side effects” of exercise: improved fitness, fat loss, longer life, lower cholesterol, lower BP, etc. Our team understands diabetes in fact Matthew Conway is the Clinical Educator for Vancouver Coastal Health’s Diabetes Education Centre.
